Yoga postures to heal back pain and create a healthier spine

Bhujangasana or Cobra Pose - Bhujangasana, the Cobra Pose, is a pose that is done lying on the stomach. It gives the body (especially the back) a good stretch that makes stress disappear almost instantly! This asana works wonders for the spine.

Yastikasana - Manage the word. Slow movement and constant focus on proper breathing can improve the emocional aspect of back pain by helping to reduce stress and alleviate anxiety and depression.




Pawanmuktasana - Pawanmuktasan or airless pose has a tremendous effect on the muscles of the lower back. It stretches the back muscles along with the thigh muscles, which become stiff with an inactive lifestyle and low mobility, leading to pain and discomfort over time. 

It is very effective in stretching the back and hip muscles and releasing tension in the lower back.


Setu Bandhasana - Setu Bandhasana is a pose in which body is bent in reverse in a U position or bridge position to stretch the back, neck, chest and spine. It relaxes the brain and helps relieve stress and depression. It helps strengthen the muscles of the back. 

When performed regularly, it relieves back pain and increases flexibility of the spine. It is a great asana for people who spend a large part of their day in front of the computer.
